Birchbox #4 | May Unboxing

As you’ll know from last month’s post, I wasn’t happy at all with the delivery of my April Birchbox and it seems like a lot of you ended up in the same boat. So this month I was so pleased to have a knock on my door from my (chronically moody) Hermes delivery man on time.

For the Dreamers

The best thing about Birchbox is how different the boxes look each month. May’s limited edition box lets you scratch away the lid to reveal a completely different pattern underneath – like a massive scratchcard. It’s well worth the scratch too, as it reveals whether you’ve won a dream holiday courtesy of Destinology!

(I didn’t win obvs… Sadly I’m not writing this from the Maldives.)

Even though I’m not choosing a holiday destination, we did get the choice of two different colours for this month’s full size product – a Spectrum Collection Unicorn Tears Wonder Sponge (RRP £4.99.) I chose the purple and like everyone else on the planet right now (or so it seems) I’m obsessed with Spectrum atm, so was super excited to receive this sponge of wonder.

Next up is the Balm cosmetics Stainiac, in Beauty Queen (RRP £10.00) which is basically a stain for your lips and cheeks. You simply dab two/three dots to your cheeks and blend (cue that Wonder Sponge) or apply like you would a gloss to your lips. It gives you a really subtle flash of colour – perfect for Spring.

The third little treat is my favourite hair product I’ve received so far and lets face it, we get a lot of them. The Philip Kingsley PK Prep Polishing Balm (RRP £18.50) boasts a mix of ProVitamin B5 and Vitamin A, which leaves your hair feeling SO smooth and nourished. I don’t think I’ve ever been this kind to my locks before.

We also got a gorgeous Tao/Wai Wang Mild Exfoliating Body Scrub from Rituals (RRP £19.50) and Vinosource Moisturizing Sorbet from Caudalie (RRP £23.00) which I’ve teamed together, as both of them smell lush and left my face and hands feeling seriously clean and fresh using one after another.

Last but not least was a cheeky sample of Vita Coco’s Coconut Oil (RRP £9.99) which you can never go wrong with. I love the way coconut oil makes my skin feel and regularly use it on the ends of my hair to keep them as healthy as possible.

Have you received you Birchbox yet? What did you think?
